(The Tuna Industry’s got a Dirty Little Secret)」卡通影片,引發美國三大鮪罐商:巨峰、海底雞、星琪的抗議聲浪。 (摘譯自INFOFISH Trade News, No. 16/2011,29 August 2011) USA: War is 租屋網looming between three major canned tuna producers Bumble Bee, Chicken of the Sea (CoS) and Starkist against Greenpeace. It started when the latter released its cartoon video on YouTube entitled “The Tuna Industry’s got a Dirty Little Secret”. The cartoon is featuring 開幕活動mascots of the US big three tuna brands, and ends with the wording “Help expose the canned tuna industry by sharing this video with everyone you know”. In response, lawyers representing the canned tuna companies have sent letters to the environmental group, objecting to the 酒店經紀use of their familiar cartoon mascots in a video the industry considers violent and tasteless. The letters, sent on August 15, argue that Greenpeace is misusing trademarked images and urge the group to stop using the video or else will face legal action. The National 代償Fisheries Institute (NFI) has also responded to Greenpeace’s cartoon by releasing its own video titled: “Tuna for Tomorrow Response to Greenpeace” posted on www.tunafortomorrow.com website and also on YouTube. NFI says that other environmental groups like WWF, the Marine Stewardship Council, TRAFFIC, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the New England Aquarium, Conservation International, BirdLife International are all members of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation’s (ISSF) Environmental Stakeholder Committee. Despite being invited, Greenpeace has refused to join the group. Thus, NFI questions the motive of the latest Greenpeace action as merely for fundraising campaign rather then concern about sustainability.
